As an August baby, we always had small family parties out at my residence. However, with sons born in November and March, we're always left to book an indoor venue for their celebrations, if we decided to have them that season. While those with children with summer birthdays may seem lucky to have numerous options at their disposal, it can also often feel overwhelming.
While at Climbing Vines Cafe and Play we might be biased since we host indoor celebrations, I wished to share with all the 5 most common reasons we hear out of previous party customers to book indoor summer birthdays with us. 1) NO WEATHER WORRIES

We get dozens of calls each summer a few days before someone's outdoor party is supposed to take place to see if we've got an open slot for them within our indoor party place because of weather woes. We can usually pull off this if the place is open, but hosts will sadly need to starve and allow all of their guests know of the change in place and probably shift in time, and also change all their catering orders to accommodate their new party plan.
While of course rain is likely the biggest obstacle you might face, extreme heat, unseasonably cool weather, and end can also pose problems to your decorations, food, and your guests' belongings. While I absolutely adore a good barbecue or summertime grilling extravaganza, I also find it refreshing when we can take a rest in the same-old backyard bash and spend a couple of hours at a relaxing, cool, and most importantly-- included! -- atmosphere.
It's also freeing as a guest to have the remainder of the day to do as we want as a family and not need to be concerned about getting the children into a bath immediately after the celebration or stopping home to cool off and change clothing.
I promise that in the event you reserve an indoor party for your son or daughter, guests (particularly family) might appear a bit confused at first (why not take advantage of the summer weather while we can, right?) But after hosting hundreds of indoor parties I can tell you for certain that on the day-of, you and your guests will realize how pleasant it is to reunite in an air-conditioned private party for a few hours.

3) EATING IN PEACE


Speaking of how relaxing a indoor, air-conditioned party could be, can we talk about food for a second?
At the moment, my sweet 4 year-old boy is terrified of bees, and the fastest way to send him into a tailspin is for him to sit down to eat a cupcake or his meal and have bees swarming around. So, for our loved ones, the meals factor alone could be sufficient to justify an indoor celebration.
Eating in peace without having to find colour or a chair or a place away from pests is just one of those things that you do not realize can be so magnificent until you attend your fourth or fifth outdoor summer gathering and after that get a rest from them. Among the most common things we hear is how nice it's to sit and eat and see the kiddos play without having any venue-related cares or worries. This will be particularly important if you're going to be needing older family members attend who will struggle with being mobile in the sand or marijuana and locating seating at outside parties.
Plus, when was the last time you attended an outdoor summer party with a complete espresso bar and cafe available for guests to enjoy now they don't need to be concerned about running around chasing their kids in the heat?

4) DECOR OPTIONS GALORE


While party aesthetic might not be a determining factor for every household, it sure is much simpler to make a themed extravaganza that lighting a child's face up as soon as the party's inside. You can just head home and unwind with your loved ones (yes, maybe outside!) At a nice clean home that was not just trampled by party guests and all their sand, grass, and sunscreen.
In addition to the time spent cleaning before and after the celebration, would not it ALSO be wonderful to not need to play"server" throughout the event? Even for customers that make their own food and decoration, our dedicated party assistants set everything up, refill and fix food and beverages as needed, clear plates, cut and serve the cake, and pack up all the leftovers at the end of the celebration!
After all, it's your child's special day and you wish to spend those valuable hours making memories and visiting along with your guests-- not running about chasing your decorations or refilling the fruit bowl countless times.
